The 613th mitzvah of the Torah is the obligation upon each person to write a Torah Scroll. (Deuteronomy 31: 19)

We invite you to join in this auspicious mitzvah by endowing a letter, portion or selected sections of the Unity Torah. You can dedicate a selection for yourself, family or friend. The monumental writing of a new Torah Scroll requires that each of its 304,805 letters be meticulously handscribed by a qualified Sofer, or scribe, in accordance with an age-old tradition and hundreds of applicable laws, it is a project requiring many months of arduous and precise labor. Craig and Edna Snider have jumpstarted this project with their lead sponsorship in memory of their respective fathers, may their memory be for a blessing. Both men valued Jewish education and the growth of vibrant Jewish communities.
The culmination celebration will be, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Chabad of the Main Line.
